Our Medical Nutrition Therapist:
CCRS is proud to offer the services of Elisabeth C. Peterson, R.D.
Elisabeth graduated from Hampton University, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Science in dietetics, after which she completed an American Dietetic Association internship through the Medical College of Virginia.
Elisabeth provides nutritional counseling and fitness education to CCRS participants through various clinical trials. In addition, she has been in private practice as Peterson Nutrition and Fitness for seven years, providing individual and group consults for a variety of nutritional, health, and educational needs.
Elisabeth is a member of the American Dietetics Association and its affiliated Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionist, as well as Women’s Health and Reproductive Nutrition practice groups. She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, the National Eating Disorders Association, and the Academy for Eating Disorders. In addition, she is an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America certified personal trainer and fitness counselor.
Elisabeth also serves as a dietetic advisor for several publications, for whom she has authored and published articles on nutrition. When not working, she enjoys outdoor sports such as cycling, swimming, and kayaking. Elisabeth also loves reading and yoga, as well as making wonderful healthy meals for her family.
