Dr. Call Robert S. Call, M.D.

Dr. Call grew up in Richmond and attended Collegiate High School before going to the University of Virginia (UVA) where he played football and graduated with a B.A. in Biology.

He also attended UVA Medical School and did his residency in internal medicine at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Call was twice voted teacher of the year during his residency and was a chief resident in internal medicine.

He completed his allergy fellowship at the University of Virginia and was also an instructor for internal medicine at UVA. As a member of the board of trustees for the Richmond Academy of Medicine (RAM), Dr. Call also served as its President and Chairman of the Board.

A board certified internist and partner with Richmond Asthma and Allergy Specialists, Dr. Call has repeatedly been voted a Top Doc by Richmond Magazine.

 

Dr. NurnbergRuth D. Nurnberg, M.D.

Ruth Diane Nurnberg, M.D. graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia, six months of which was in critical care. She practiced in a traditional office setting and in a military clinic for three years, before deciding to do only pharmaceutical research. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators.

Dr. Nurnberg’s sole practice for over 10 years has been as an investigator for over 350 Phase II –IV clinical trials covering a broad therapeutic spectrum. She is very enthusiastic about conducting pharmaceutical research. Dr. Nurnberg’s enthusiasm stems from her conviction that “The research we conduct is very exciting, the cutting edge of medicine and an opportunity with the potential to improve the lives of so many people.” She is acknowledged in several articles in major medical journals.

On a personal note, Dr. Nurnberg enjoys international travel and the opportunity to immerse herself in other cultures. At home, she is a dog enthusiast, and goes to dog shows often. Her current companion is Hannah, a Golden Retriever. Dr. Nurnberg lives in Richmond, which she considers one of the best cities in the country.
